Compit is a privately held company founded in 2014.
It is a leading real-estate technology platform that revolutionizes the ability to view the real-estate market from various angles, automating analyses swiftly and efficiently and providing unique insights for making intelligent data-driven decisions.
Douglas Elliman, New York’s largest real estate brokerage and marketing firm became the first client of Compit in early 2016. Since then, over 25 prominent brokerage firms throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn have started working with Compit, with over 3,000 agents are using the platform, such as TOWN Residential, BOND New York Real Estate and Engel & Völkers, to name a few.
Compit was created and developed by brokers who really understand the challenges real estate professionals face these days, as the industry has changed immensely in the past few years and information is everywhere.
It is a sophisticated system that is mainly used as an automated market analysis, valuation, and search tool. It allows the user to view different segments of the real estate market and hone in on specific sub-markets, viewing them from different angles and allowing them to analyze it further and quicker than ever before.
Compit has developed proprietary advanced algorithms that efficiently clean, complete and integrate multiple big data sources, as well as incorporating GIS mechanisms to add geographic attributes to its analysis.
It has also created complex algorithms that conduct property valuations by selecting the best comparable properties based on unique and multi-layered parameters.
Compit’s algorithms are built to scale with expansion in mind, making parameter configurations flexible and easy to change depending on geographic location, changing market dynamics or client requirements.
